I've been trying to restore Exchange mailbox data from my deduplication store for several days now without success. Each time I get error E00002F7 with the description "V-79-57344-759 - Unable to complete the operation for the following reason: VFF Open Failure. This can be caused by low memory or disk resources."
I've tried adding the registry key "VFF Extended Timeout" with various values on both my Exchange and media server, restarted services and servers and keep getting the same result. I thought perhaps the registry key above looked wrong so also added it without spaces on both servers but no luck there either. BE2012 is fully patched and so is the remote agent on the Exchange server, and Exchange 2010 is running all service packs and updates.
I'm a little exposed at the moment but thankfully the data I need to restore isn't business critical. I've tried restoring from a different mailbox however and get the same result, so at the moment I cannot restore any Exchange data! I have done file level restores so everything else is ok.
