Unable to backup /dev/disk/ with RH 6

Hi,

We have a BACKUP EXEC SERVER 2012 running on WINDOWS 2008 R2 that's backing up a ISCSI snapshot attached as a  disk on RH 6 client.

We have tried mounting the disk as /mnt/x and that works but because the filesystem contains 4million+ files the backup job drops to 291mb/min and we have 800gb to backup. We achieve upwards of 6GB/min on the xen and hyper-v hosts as they are backing up vm images.

With that in mind we need to be able to backup the disk in /dev/

I've tried removing the exclusion in the ralus.cfg, tried selecting follow links but looking at the backup log it still backs up 0 files when only /dev/disk is selected.
