Symantec Backup Exec 2012 & IBM System Storage TS3100 Tape Library

In my company we are using Symantec Backup Exec 2012 as backup/recovery solution. Deduplication disk and IBM System Storage TS3100 Tape Library are configured as storage devices. Since I do not have experience in working with tape libraries (with/without Symantec Backup Exec 2012) I want to know what has to be done on IBM System Storage TS3100 Tape Library and on Symantec Backup Exec 2012 when the following tasks need to be performed:

1. Insert new blank tape in tape library and use it in Symantec Backup Exec 2012
2. Remove full tape from tape library and move it to an offsite location

I need all steps including dealing with barcodes, media sets, ... Practically all steps needed when working with tape libraries as storage devices related to these two tasks.

NOTE: Symantec Backup Exec 2012 is installed with tape library drivers so it can see tape library and its tapes. Thus "only" these two tasks depicted above I am interested in.
