After Installing Symantec Endpoint Protection Symantec Backup exec gets stuck discovering devices

Today I installed Symantec Endpoint Protection Client on my Backup Exec 2012 Server.

After I did this the devices tab got stuck discovering devices and I couldn't format my tapes ready for the weekends backups.

After I removed Symantec Endpoint Protection this problem went away.

Is there any way to get Symantec Endpoint Protection to work on the same server as Backup Exec?
