Backup Server support for current MS products

I'd like to install BE2012SP2 on a server running the current versions of MS server software (W2012 + SQL Server 2012). These products have been in market for some time now (W2012 R2 and SQL Server 2014 will be release in the not too distant future) and I still don't see any media server support. Is Symantec going to provide support for these with BE2012? (Yes, I know they can be backed up but BE2012 but having to maintain old server infrastructure to support the server engine is far from ideal).
