Backup Exec not deleting snapshots

I need a solution

We're running backup exec version 2010 R3 Media Server Version 13.0 Rev. 5204(64 bit) on a windows server 2008 SP2 and we're having a lot of problems.

This has been going on for ages now and seemed to disappear but it's just sprouted up again with fatal consequences.

We have a lot of servers and not much headroom on the virtual server and this problem has taken out our full network numerous times.

Generally a failed backup of a virtual server does not delete the snaphot and on weekends when we're doing a lot of backups (we have a lot of virtual machines) these failed jobs will mount up and fill our virtual server space and bring down the network.

He have two virtual server stacks and one (where the servers don't reside) has a lot of free space and isn't fatal if if fills up and the other is mission critical and intolerable if it goes down. What we're looking for is a solution that'll either create the snapshots on the other server and/or one that'll delete the snapshot should the backup fail.

It really is a nightmare scenario as we don't have access over weekends and we need 24/7 access. This brought down our network the other weekend and we had to call out caretakers and a member of staff who's got family committments and it really is beginning to wear users expectations very thin. Add to this we cannot remotely start the server once it's full and that we've lived with for ages now and patience is running out.

If someone could help I'd really appreciate it.

Many thanks in anticipation.
