Hi,
We're running all sorts of Backup-to-Disk on a daily basis, like SQL backups using an agent, AD backups using agent, VM backups of machines that run SQL or AD etc.
I know that GRT B2D should go to a seperate folder than standard B2D, in order for BE to succesffuly retain the OPP on the files.
I just don't know what types of backup are considered GRT?
1. When I run a backup of an SQL server using the agent (where I select the SQL databses in the selection list), is it considered GRT?
2. When I run a VM backup of a machine that runs SQL and I have the Microsoft SQL GRT enabled, is it considered GRT?
3. When I run a VM backup of a machine that runs AD and I have the Microsoft AD GRT enabled, is it considered GRT?
4. When I run a VM backup of a file server, and I don't have the GRT checkbox enabled, is it still considered GRT?
In other words, what types of backup should be directed to the GRT folder in a B2D environment.
And one more thing - is it OK if the GRT folder contains .bkf files as well as IMG folders, or are there supposed to be only IMG folders there?
Thanks
