Backing up to server

Hi, 

I'm looking for some assurance and advice on Backup Exec. I have a domain controller that I would like to perform system state, data and SQL backups. I have a redundant server which i was going to utilise as a storage location for those backups.

I believe that this could use the same methods as backup to NAS, would I be correct in thinking this? Details on connection methods would also be appreciated.
