.master Sharepoint files not backed up

Hi there

As per subject, I've seen many errors in the backup log (finished with exceptions) of .master files not being backed up. The only time it does work is if I disable Sharepoint services but I of course do not want to do this.

I believe this started happening following some much needed server updates from Microsoft and those updates are more important than these files (or so I think) so the updates will have to stay. Please have a look at the screenshot attached.

Anyone else having a similar issue or know why this is happening or know how to "close" these files or even better yet, know of a solution?
