Backup Exec 2014 needs a feature to limit itself to an OU within Active Directory

I need a solution

The company I work for consists of a lot of smaller companies all over the globe.  Instead of being organized by subdomains within the company like this...

sub1.company.com

sub2.company.com

sub3.company.com

...all sites are contained in one Active Directory unit of company.com.  Within AD, the organization looks like this, split by Organizational Unit (OU).

company.com/Sites/sub1

company.com/Sites/sub2

company.com/Sites/sub3

When Backup Exec runs its discovery process, it looks at the entire AD tree and tries to connect to all 5000 computers around the globe, looking for data to back up.  This is useless to me, plus it trips a lot of errors in the system event log.  I want to limit the scanning it does to all computers found in my "company.com/Sites/sub2" branch of our AD tree.

Is there any way to do this?  It would be very helpful.

Plus, in the Add a Server box, after clicking on Browse, when I open the Active Directory Domains branch and then the company.com branch, instead of showing me the AD branch layout, it tries to gather information on all 5000 computers around the world - effectively, it hangs.  If I let it sit for a few minutes, it finally returns the full list of all computers we have around the world, but it is difficult to see or scroll to the local computers that I care about.  This makes the Browse option completely useless for me.  It would be better if opening company.com exposed the real branches of the AD tree.  If you don't want to do that, then I need to somehow exclude Backup Exec to browse my AD branch only (company.com/Sites/sub2).

Thanks for listening.
