Hello, I am running BE 2012 with a CAS server and 2 Media Servers. I have 3 B2D folders of various sizes connected to the Media Servers for different jobs. Each Media Server has a tape library connected for off-site backups. I am trying to understand the Share option when you choose the disk storage. When you create the share, it's looking for server/sharename. I would think the CAS server already has access so why would I add it? What access do I need to set up on the Media Server B2D folder itself to add a share? The Admin Guide but I can't seem to get the share to be recognized between the 2 Media Servers. I seem to be missing something.
CAS server - connects to the 2 media servers
server 1 has 2 B2D folders (B2D1 and B2D2)
server 2 has 1 B2D folder (Srv2 B2D)
What I want to do is give server 1 access to the B2D folder on Server2. Down the road if I remove the tape library, I would still like to use the B2D on Server 2 and then write the contacts to tape if required. Am I understanding the concept of this correctly?
