Duplicate to tape job

I have a scenario based question, so please bear with me

Lets say I create a backup to disk job that starts at 9pm, which takes 2 hours to run. I add a stage to duplicate to tape based on a schedule, the schedule starts the duplication at 11pm everything should run fine, but one day the backup to disk job takes 30 minutes longer to complete, what happens to the duplicate job?

Does it wait for the backup to disk job to finish because it is a stage of the same job, or will the duplicate to tape job fail, or will it duplicate the last backup to disk job and put it to tape?
